Hawzah News Agency- The event saw enthusiastic participation from a broad cross-section of society, including scholars, students, educators, and members of the general public.
The ceremony was a moving tribute to Hazrat Qassim (PBUH), the young and valiant martyr of Karbala, whose courage and sacrifice at the age of 13 have become a lasting symbol of youthful devotion to truth and justice. With passionate chants of “Labbaik Ya Hussain,” “Labbaik Ya Qassim,” and “Freedom for Palestine,” the participants reaffirmed their spiritual and political commitment to the values of Ashura and the ongoing struggles of the oppressed.
Mourning processions carried religious flags, portraits of Ayatollah Khamenei, and placards voicing strong support for Palestine and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The mourners marched toward Husseini Park, performing traditional chest-beating and elegies in a solemn display of grief and devotion to the Ahlul Bayt (PBUT).
Spiritual and Educational Reflection
Throughout the event, students and scholars delivered speeches on the life and virtues of Hazrat Qassim (PBUH), emphasizing his unwavering bravery and loyalty during the tragic events of Karbala. Speakers reflected on how, despite his young age, he chose martyrdom over submission, standing courageously alongside his uncle, Imam Hussain (PBUH), in defense of justice.
The ceremony also included expressions of solidarity with the Palestinian people. Participants strongly condemned the ongoing crimes committed by the Zionist regime and its international allies, and reiterated their support for the Axis of Resistance and the liberation of Al-Quds.
A Symbol of Awakening and Youth Commitment
In his closing remarks, the head of the Motahari Educational Association of Kargil extended heartfelt appreciation to all organizing institutions, government agencies, schools, educators, media partners, and volunteers for their cooperation.
